British Shorthair Prices in the Philippines 2025-2026
Personal In-Cabin Flight to the Philippines by the Breeder’s Son
“Your country (the Philippines) is quite far from our cattery in Germany, yet distance is no problem at all. Because we could never entrust an extra-class purebred kitten to strangers, third-party couriers, or cargo holds, you do not need to worry for a single moment: one of my sons will personally fly to you and bring your little plush companion in the aircraft cabin (In-Cabin) directly into your hands — complete with all official veterinary export certificates, passport, and pedigree.”
100% In-Cabin Flight (Zero Cargo Hold)
Never placed in luggage or cargo compartments. Your kitten flies right next to my son in the passenger cabin — warm, calm, and comforted every minute of the flight.
No Strangers or Third-Party Couriers
We never hand our kittens over to commercial shipping agents. Accompanied exclusively by my son, whom the kitten knows and trusts from birth.

The British Shorthair has firmly established itself as one of the most coveted cat breeds in the Philippines. Known for their "teddy bear" aesthetics, calm demeanor, and iconic round faces, these feline aristocrats are the perfect companions for the modern Filipino lifestyle. As we look toward 2025 and 2026, the demand for high-quality British Shorthairs continues to surge, driven by a growing community of enthusiasts who prioritize health and breed standards over bargain prices.
Current Market Price Ranges in PHP
In the Philippine market, the cost of a British Shorthair kitten is primarily determined by its pedigree, coat color, and whether it is locally bred or imported.
- Local Pet Quality: Kittens from local hobbyist breeders without extensive international certifications typically range from ₱60,000 to ₱110,000.
- Show-Quality Imports: For those seeking the pinnacle of the breed—kittens with champion bloodlines directly from elite European catteries—prices generally range from ₱220,000 to ₱450,000+.
The higher price bracket for imports accounts for the superior genetic heritage, rigorous health screenings, and the complex logistics of international transport.
High Demand and the Import Process
The Philippines is currently experiencing a "Golden Age" of cat ownership, with the British Shorthair leading the pack. However, local supply often struggles to meet the demand for specific "rare" colors like Cinnamon, Fawn, or high-contrast Silver Tabbies. This has led many Filipino families to look toward Europe, the historic heart of the breed.
Importing a kitten requires navigating Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) permits, international veterinary certifications, and secure air transport. While the process may seem daunting, it is the only way to ensure you are receiving a kitten that meets strict international WCF or FIFe standards.
